Pilgrims urged to use Kawal Haji app for complaints
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) is urging Indonesian prospective Hajj pilgrims already in Medina or Mecca to make use of the Kawal Haji application if they have any complaints or grievances during their stay in the Holy Land. “The Kawal Haji application serves as a vital instrument in ensuring responsive, transparent, and accountable services. We invite pilgrims and their families to actively utilise it,” stated Kemenhaj Spokesperson Suci Annisa in Jakarta on Wednesday. The Kawal Haji application functions as a platform for pilgrims and officials to report various service needs for Hajj operations swiftly. It enables real-time reporting on consumption services, accommodation, transportation, health, and even lost pilgrims or items. The application employs a crowdsourcing concept, where all incoming reports can be directly monitored by pilgrims and officials without administrative filtering, thus facilitating two-way communication. “We remind pilgrims to regulate their activities according to their capabilities, get sufficient rest, and maintain fluid intake. Do not hesitate to report to health officials if you experience any complaints,” she added. Kemenhaj also reminds all Hajj and Umrah Worship Guidance Groups (KBIHU) to comply with regulations and continue coordinating with official personnel to maintain order and the safety of pilgrims. Meanwhile, entering the 16th day of Hajj operations for 1447 Hijriah/2026 CE, 250 flight groups (kloter) comprising 97,139 people and 996 officials have departed from Indonesia. In the meantime, 239 kloter with 92,739 people and 952 officials have arrived in Medina and occupied the prepared accommodations. The movement of pilgrims from Medina to Mecca is also proceeding gradually. To date, 88 kloter with 34,244 people and 352 officials have arrived in Mecca to perform the obligatory Umrah.
