PIHPS: Red Cayenne Pepper at Rp79,550/kg, Chicken Eggs at Rp33,550/kg

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Strategic Food Price Information Centre (PIHPS), managed by Bank Indonesia, recorded that the price of red cayenne pepper reached Rp79,550 per kilogram (kg), whilst chicken eggs stood at Rp33,550 per kg.

Based on PIHPS data released in Jakarta on Monday at 09:58 WIB, in addition to red cayenne pepper, national retail-level food prices were recorded as follows: red shallots at Rp48,650 per kg and garlic at Rp45,650 per kg.

Furthermore, lower-quality rice grade I was priced at Rp15,300 per kg, and lower-quality rice grade II at Rp15,500 per kg. Medium-quality rice grade I stood at Rp17,250 per kg, and medium-quality rice grade II at Rp17,200 per kg. Super-quality rice grade I was recorded at Rp17,350 per kg, and super-quality rice grade II at Rp16,700 per kg.

PIHPS also noted that large red chilli peppers reached Rp53,300 per kg, curly red chilli peppers Rp55,900 per kg, and green cayenne peppers Rp54,150 per kg.

Meanwhile, chicken meat was priced at Rp45,700 per kg, beef grade I at Rp139,500 per kg, and beef grade II at Rp136,900 per kg.

The next set of commodity prices showed premium granulated sugar at Rp21,400 per kg and local granulated sugar at Rp19,150 per kg.

Bulk cooking oil was recorded at Rp20,050 per litre, branded packaged cooking oil grade I at Rp24,300 per litre, and branded packaged cooking oil grade II at Rp23,050 per litre.
