PIHPS Records Chilli Prices at Rp72,650/kg, Eggs at Rp29,950/kg

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Strategic Food Price Information Centre (PIHPS), managed by Bank Indonesia (BI), recorded the price of red bird’s eye chilli at Rp72,650 per kilogramme (kg), while purebred chicken eggs were priced at Rp29,950 per kg.

Based on data from PIHPS released on Tuesday at 09:25 WIB, other food commodity prices at the national retail level included shallots at Rp52,600 per kg and garlic at Rp43,600 per kg.

Furthermore, lower-quality rice I was priced at Rp14,650 per kg, and lower-quality rice II at Rp14,600 per kg. Medium-quality rice I was recorded at Rp16,300 per kg, and medium-quality rice II at Rp16,100 per kg. Super-quality rice I was priced at Rp17,600 per kg, and super-quality rice II at Rp17,100 per kg.

PIHPS also recorded the price of large red chillies at Rp54,850 per kg, curly red chillies at Rp54,750 per kg, and green bird’s eye chillies at Rp53,850 per kg.

Fresh purebred chicken meat was priced at Rp37,050 per kg, while premium beef was Rp149,350 per kg and second-quality beef was Rp141,050 per kg.

For other commodities, premium granulated sugar was recorded at Rp20,300 per kg, and locally produced sugar at Rp19,100 per kg. Meanwhile, bulk cooking oil was priced at Rp20,700 per litre, branded packaged cooking oil I at Rp24,200 per litre, and branded packaged cooking oil II at Rp23,400 per litre.
