PIHPS Records Cayenne Pepper Prices Reaching Rp131,000 per kg Ahead of Eid al-Fitr
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Strategic Food Price Information Centre (PIHPS), managed by Bank Indonesia, has recorded the price of red cayenne pepper reaching Rp131,000 per kilogram, while broiler chicken meat stands at Rp50,200 per kg. Based on data from PIHPS reported in Jakarta on Friday at 09:35 WIB, in addition to chicken meat and red cayenne pepper, other national retail food prices include shallots at Rp68,400 per kg and garlic at Rp57,900 per kg. Furthermore, rice of lower quality I is priced at Rp17,550 per kg, lower quality II at Rp17,750 per kg, medium quality I at Rp19,200 per kg, and medium quality II at Rp18,900 per kg. Then, super quality I rice is at Rp120,750 per kg, and super quality II at Rp20,300 per kg. Subsequently, PIHPS recorded the price of large red chillies at Rp91,750 per kg, curly red chillies at Rp83,000 per kg, and green cayenne pepper at Rp63,400 per kg. Next, beef quality I is Rp168,650 per kg, and quality II at Rp161,150 per kg. The following commodity prices include premium granulated sugar at Rp26,500 per kg and local granulated sugar at Rp21,800 per kg. Meanwhile, bulk cooking oil is priced at Rp21,600 per litre, branded packaged cooking oil I at Rp27,950 per litre, and branded packaged cooking oil II at Rp25,650 per litre. In addition, PIHPS also recorded the price of broiler chicken eggs at Rp40,800 per kg.
