PIHPS: Bird's eye chilli reaches Rp75,150 per kg, chicken eggs at Rp30,350 per kg

The National Strategic Food Price Information Centre (PIHPS), managed by Bank Indonesia, recorded that the price of red bird’s eye chilli reached Rp75,150 per kilogram (kg), while chicken eggs were priced at Rp30,350 per kg.

According to PIHPS data released in Jakarta on Tuesday at 07:10 WIB, other national retail prices include shallots at Rp56,250 per kg and garlic at Rp4,800 per kg.

Regarding rice, low-quality I rice is priced at Rp14,650 per kg, while low-quality II rice is at Rp14,450 per kg. Medium-quality I rice stands at Rp16,200 per kg, and medium-quality II rice is at Rp16,050 per kg. Super-quality I rice is priced at Rp17,450 per kg, and super-quality II rice is at Rp16,950 per kg.

Furthermore, PIHPS noted that large red chilli reached Rp62,200 per kg, curly red chilli at Rp58,400 per kg, and green bird’s eye chilli at Rp53,750 per kg.

Other commodities include fresh chicken meat at Rp37,700 per kg, quality I beef at Rp148,150 per kg, and quality II beef at Rp139,400 per kg.

Prices for sugar include premium quality granulated sugar at Rp20,250 per kg and local granulated sugar at Rp19,100 per kg.

Meanwhile, bulk cooking oil is priced at Rp20,700 per litre, branded packaged cooking oil I is at Rp24,050 per litre, and branded packaged cooking oil II is at Rp23,250 per litre.
