Pidie Launches SIGAP e-SPPT to Ease PBB-P2 Payments
The Pidie Regency Government in Aceh Province continues to pursue technology-based innovation to ensure public services are delivered quickly, accurately, easily, and transparently. This step represents a tangible presence of the state in fulfilling citizens’ rights professionally through the digitalisation of services.
One of the latest breakthroughs is the management of the Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2), which is now more accessible. The Pidie Regency Government has introduced the SIGAP Pidie application, equipped with an e-SPPT feature.
This feature aims to make it easier for taxpayers to access information on their tax due notification letters digitally. The innovation shifts the paradigm of tax services, which were previously associated with physical documents, to accurate access via smartphone anytime and anywhere.
Head of the Pidie Regency Financial Management Agency (BPKK), Teuku Hendra Hidayat Yoga, explained that this innovation is not merely about moving services from paper to digital screens. More than that, SIGAP Pidie is expected to increase public awareness in fulfilling tax obligations.
“Taxes paid by the public are a source of regional revenue that is used to support development and public services in Pidie Regency. So, every payment has a direct link to regional progress,” said Teuku Hendra on Thursday (20/8).
He added that with e-SPPT, the public no longer needs to worry about losing or having difficulty finding physical SPPT documents. This transparency and convenience are expected to remove administrative barriers that taxpayers have faced.
The Pidie Regency Government urges the public to immediately check their PBB-P2 information through the e-SPPT feature in the SIGAP Pidie service. Taxpayers are expected to make payments before the due date of 30 September 2026.
Teuku Hendra stressed that paying taxes on time is not only about avoiding fines, but is a form of active public participation in regional development. This tax awareness culture also encourages more accountable digital-based governance.
