Pickup Driver Caught Red-Handed Attempting to Dump Bone Waste into Bogor's Cisadane River
A video circulating on social media shows a pickup truck driver being caught by local residents while attempting to dump animal bone waste into the Cisadane River in Rumpin District, Bogor Regency, West Java. The incident occurred on Saturday evening, 10 July.
In the footage, residents confronted the driver on the Grendong Bridge and proceeded to inspect the vehicle’s cargo. They discovered a quantity of animal bone waste concealed under a tarpaulin. According to the narration, this was not the first time such an incident had occurred. When questioned by residents, the driver admitted he was merely following orders from his boss.
Rumpin Police Chief AKP Suyoko confirmed the event, stating that the waste belonged to a chicken entrepreneur. “The owner instructed his employee to dispose of the bone waste into the Cisadane River, precisely at the Grendong Bridge,” he said.
Upon arrival at the location, the driver was spotted by residents who immediately stopped him from dumping the waste into the river. The residents directed that the waste should instead be taken to the Galuga final disposal site.
