Photographers in RI, unite
BANDUNG: Indonesian photographers of all backgrounds and professions are expected to meet here later this month for a first ever gathering.
The organizers of the Indonesian Photographers Gathering 1994 say Minister of Information Harmoko has agreed to act as patron of the event scheduled for Oct. 29-30 and his office will also lend photographs from its own archives to the accompanying exhibition.
Harmoko, according to the organizers, also hoped the gathering would become a forum in coming years where international photographers could take part also.
The forum is open to professional and amateur photographers of all ages, including press photographers, the organizers said.
The seminar will present noted speakers in the profession such as Darwis Triadi, Kayus Mulia, Back Tohir, Kartono Riyadi and Leo Nardi. There will also be a workshop on the art of photography presented by experts. (emb)
