Photo exhibit held at Ary's Warung

Ary's Warung in Ubud will host an exhibition of travel
photographs by Jill Gocher. The exhibit opened on Oct. 11 as part
of the Ubud International Readers and Writers festival, which
runs from Oct. 10 through Oct. 17.

Travel photographer Jill Gocher has traveled extensively
around the world. Her next exhibition, titled Pilgrimage, will
feature photos taken from some of her pilgrimages to Buddhist
sites in Kathmandu, Central Java and eastern Tibet.

Gocher also traveled to the holy Hindu city of Benares in
India, where the Buddha gave his first teachings.

On Oct. 15, Ary's Warung will also host the launch of the new
novel The Java Man by Jamie James. The event, jointly held with
Metafor publishing, is also part of the readers and writers
festival. --JP
