MAKING WAVES: Indian Naval Ship (INS) Tarangini lies at anchor at Jakarta's Tanjung Priok port. Tarangini, which literally means "waves", is India's only sail training ship. It arrived here on a five-day visit on Sunday, with 43 cadets on board.

TWO IS ENOUGH!: A nurse (extreme left) at a public hospital in Boyolali, East Java, attends to a family planning acceptor, while National Family Planning Board (BKKBN) director Sumarjati Arjoso (second from left), Boyolali Regent Djaka Srijanta (extreme right), and an unidentified health worker look on. The family planning board is now promoting long-term contraception methods, including hormone implants, in a bid to stem the country's rapid population growth.
