Phonska Plus Dominates, Defeats Pertamina Enduro in Straight Sets
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Gresik Phonska Plus (GPP) displayed a dominant performance, defeating Jakarta Pertamina Enduro (JPE) with a convincing score of 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-17) in the second round of the 2026 Proliga at GOR Padepokan Voli Jend. Pol. Kunarto, Sentul, Thursday night.
This victory, achieved in 1 hour and 29 minutes, was fueled by the outstanding performance of Gresik Phonska Plus’s foreign player, Oleksandra Bytsenko, who was the top scorer in the match with a total of 23 points.
From the first set, the team coached by Alessandro Lodi immediately put pressure through sharp attacks, resulting in 41 points from attacks (spikes) overall. Bytsenko recorded high efficiency by contributing 20 points solely from attacks.
In addition to Bytsenko, Annie Valentine Mitchem also became a key player in GPP’s attack, scoring 12 points, followed by Mediol Stiovanny Yoku, who contributed 9 points. GPP’s defence also proved to be very solid, recording 9 points from blocks, with Mediol Yoku contributing the most with 4 successful blocks.
JPE’s star player, Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi, only managed to contribute 4 points throughout the match through attacks. As a team, JPE made 32 successful spikes but only managed to record 4 points from blocks during the three sets.
GPP’s dominance was also evident in the service aspect, where they collected 5 ace points while JPE only obtained 2 points from serves.
This victory brings Gresik Phonska Plus’s total match points to 75, compared to Jakarta Pertamina Enduro’s 57 points.
This result further solidifies Phonska Plus’s position as a serious contender for the title in the 2026 Proliga season after successfully thwarting the steps of the defending champion’s key players.
