Phone disruptions in Penggilingan

JAKARTA (JP): State telecommunications company PT Telkom announced Wednesday that its excavations in Penggilingan, East Jakarta, had disrupted 200 telephone lines with prefix numbers 460, 461 and 4682. Damages would be fixed by next Monday, a spokesman said.

Telkom said the disruptions, which began Monday, happened when excavation work damaged telephone cables.

Disruptions also occurred in Bekasi, particularly to telephone lines with 880, 881 and 882 prefixes.

Telkom apologized and said that users could lodge complaints by dialing 117 or by visiting their nearest Telkom customer service window. (icn)
