Phone disruption in S. Jakarta

JAKARTA (JP): The South Jakarta office of PT Telkom, the state-owned telecommunications company, announced yesterday that from Nov 4-15 it would work on major networks by cutting primary and secondary cables in various parts of the mayoralty.

Telephone lines in the areas will be temporarily disrupted.

The areas affected include Jl. Mimosa Raya and its vicinity, Jl. Pejaten Raya, Jl. Pejaten Barat, Jl. Raya Condet,Jl. Raya Buncit Raya, Jl. Siaga Raya, Jl. H. Amil and Jl. Buncit VII.

A PT Telkom spokesman apologized for the disruption.

He said customers whose telephone lines were still down after the cable work was completed, could file complaints with PT Telkom's South Jakarta office, or dial 117. (bas)
