PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) commemorated its 19th anniversary with a thanksgiving and interfaith charity event at its Jakarta office on Monday (29/6/2026). Under the theme ‘Energizing Collaboration for Sustainable Growth’, the occasion served as a platform to strengthen collaborative spirit and reaffirm the company’s commitment to creating value and delivering sustainable benefits to the community. The event was attended by Pertamina’s President Commissioner Mochamad Iriawan, Independent Commissioner Raden Adjeng Sondaryani, President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri, Director of Strategy, Portfolio and Business Development Emma Sri Martini, along with the Board of Commissioners and Directors of PHE and its subsidiaries. As part of the anniversary, PHE distributed aid to four interfaith foundations, namely Yayasan Arrozak, Yayasan Hati Yabes Indonesia, Yayasan Candra Bakti, and Yayasan Vihara Tri Dharma Guna. The assistance, totalling Rp101.25 million, was provided to 80 children and four foundation mentors, reflecting the company’s commitment to delivering inclusive social impact. Pertamina’s President Commissioner, Mochamad Iriawan, stated that the anniversary theme aligns with the increasingly dynamic challenges of the energy industry, where sustainable growth can only be achieved through strong and integrated collaboration. As Pertamina’s Upstream Subholding, PHE plays a strategic role as the backbone of national oil and gas production and a key contributor to corporate value creation. He stressed the importance of maintaining production performance, improving efficiency, strengthening oil and gas reserves, and accelerating the exploration and development of new resources to anticipate natural production decline. He also urged all PHE personnel to continuously strengthen cross-functional synergy, promote the ‘One PHE’ culture, and prioritise Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) aspects in every operational activity. Pertamina’s President Director, Simon Aloysius Mantiri, expressed appreciation for PHE’s 19-year journey, highlighting its crucial role in realising national energy security and expressing optimism that the government’s energy self-sufficiency targets can be achieved through hard work, collaboration, and dedication. PHE’s President Director, Awang Lazuardi, acknowledged the contributions of all personnel in maintaining performance amidst increasingly complex industry challenges. He noted that most of PHE’s assets are mature oil and gas fields with high operational risk, yet the company has maintained its HSSE performance with zero fatalities and zero lost time injuries. To support long-term growth, PHE is strengthening its portfolio through exploration in prospective areas, including Natuna, Melati, Bobara, and Eastern Indonesia, as well as accelerating merger and acquisition strategies to ensure production sustainability. PHE’s President Commissioner, Denny Januar Ali, called for the development of non-conventional oil and gas resources as a strategic step to bolster national energy security and drive future corporate growth. Through this anniversary, PHE reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable growth through collaboration, innovation, and social responsibility, in line with its role as a key driver of Indonesia’s energy security. The company will continue to invest in upstream oil and gas operations based on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and maintains a zero-tolerance policy on bribery by ensuring fraud prevention and implementing an ISO 37001:2016 standardised Anti-Bribery Management System.
