The Wonosobo Regency Government is currently examining the application of a Work From Home (WFH) policy for civil servants (ASN). The implementation of WFH is planned to be carried out gradually. This policy refers to the central government’s directives regarding the Work From Anywhere (WFA) concept.

“WFH is part of efforts to build a more flexible and adaptive work culture, without reducing the quality of public services,” explained the Secretary General of Wonosobo, One Andang Wardoyo, to reporters on Wednesday (8/4).

According to him, this policy will be implemented gradually, taking into account the readiness of digital infrastructure, human resources, and the effectiveness of supervision. The Wonosobo Regency Government aims, through this scheme, to create a more modern and flexible work pattern without reducing the discipline and responsibility of ASN in serving the community.

“Clearly, WFH should not be interpreted as a holiday, but still demands that ASN work professionally with measurable and accountable results,” he stated.

In its implementation, he said, not all ASN will carry out the WFH scheme. For example, structural officials such as echelon II, heads of agencies, and sub-district heads are still required to be present at the office to maintain the stability of public services and coordination between agencies.

“The regional government is also preparing an online-based performance reporting system, where ASN are required to prepare daily work plans and report work results to superiors regularly,” he concluded.
