Phase II of National Vocational Training Programme to Open from 19 May 2026
The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) is set to launch the second phase of the 2026 National Vocational Training Programme, running from 19 May to 9 June 2026.
“We invite the public, especially the young workforce, to take advantage of this Vocational Training Programme,” stated Darmawansyah, Director General of Vocational Training and Productivity Development at Kemnaker, in a statement in Jakarta on Monday.
He noted that Phase II of the National Vocational Training Programme has a quota of 30,000 participants. Registration can be completed via the official website skillhub.kemnaker.go.id.
Darmawansyah further explained that the programme prioritises graduates of SMA/SMK (high school/vocational school) and is open to individuals aged at least 17 who possess an account on the SIAPkerja platform.
The entire training series is provided free of charge by the government. The programme is designed to develop work competence, productivity, discipline, attitude, and work ethic to ensure participants are ready for either formal employment or entrepreneurship.
“This programme is essential for increasing competence, competitiveness, and job readiness so that participants can be immediately absorbed into the workforce or start their own businesses,” said Darmeawansyah.
The programme’s implementation stages begin with registration from 19 May to 9 June 2026 via skillhub.kemnaker.go.id and the SIAPkerja platform. This will be followed by a selection and interview process from 10 to 17 June 2026. The selection results will be announced on 18 June 2026, with the programme kick-off and orientation scheduled for 22 June 2026.
The 2026 National Vocational Training will be conducted simultaneously across 21 Technical Implementation Units of Vocational Training and Productivity Centres (UPT BPVP) and 13 Service Units (Satpel) and Regional Technical Training Units (UPTD) of the Ministry of Manpower throughout Indonesia.
Participants will receive various facilities, including free training and lunch, transportation allowances, and coverage under Work Accident Insurance (JKK) and Death Benefits (JKM) through BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Additionally, participants will receive training certificates from the BPVP and Competency Certificates from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP). Dormitory facilities are also available subject to criteria and availability.
