Phase 2 of the 2026 National Internship Programme Commences Today

Surakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has announced that the second phase of the 2026 National Internship (MagangHub) programme officially commenced this Monday.

Darmawansyah, the Director General of Vocational Training and Productivity Development (Binalavotas) at the Ministry of Manpower, stated that the programme is expected to provide significant benefits for university fresh graduates before they enter the actual workforce.

“Through a proper internship process, participants can develop their competencies while simultaneously preparing themselves to face the professional world,” Darmawansyah said in a statement received in Surakarta, Central Java, on Monday.

Furthermore, he expressed hope that the National Internship programme could provide work experience relevant to the participants’ competencies, serving as a vital part of their professional development process.

“We hope the internship programme can serve as a space for participants to gain work experience that aligns with their existing skills,” he added.

On the other hand, he emphasised that thorough preparation is essential before the first day of the 2026 National Internship Phase 2 to ensure participants understand the programme’s implementation and know what actions to take from the outset.

“What interns need to prepare includes checking placement details, ensuring active contact information, contacting organisers or mentors, preparing necessary internship equipment, and re-reading their assigned internship roles,” said Darmawansyah.

Participants are advised to check the email addresses and telephone numbers they registered to ensure they do not miss important information from the organisers.

Before the first day, participants may also contact organisers or mentors to confirm arrival times, locations, and the specific individuals they are required to meet.

Additionally, participants must ensure all administrative requirements are complete and prepare the necessary supplies needed throughout the programme.

Participants are also expected to review their chosen positions and tasks to fully understand the responsibilities they will undertake within their respective fields.
