The national pharmaceutical industry still holds growth opportunities amid various global economic challenges. This optimism is driving PT Phapros Tbk (PEHA) to target sales growth of over 20 per cent in 2026, after successfully recording improved financial performance over the past two years. The pharmaceutical company, which is part of the state-owned pharmaceutical holding, recorded a 109 per cent growth in net profit and a 26.34 per cent year-on-year increase in sales throughout 2025. This positive trend continued into the first quarter of 2026, with net profit growth reaching 112.86 per cent compared to the same period the previous year. This performance was supported by a 10.17 per cent increase in sales to Rp221.09 billion in January-March 2026, compared to Rp200.67 billion in the same period last year. At the same time, the company managed to keep increases in production costs and operating expenses under control, thereby improving profitability. President Director of PT Phapros Tbk, Intan Abdams Katoppo, said these achievements demonstrate the company’s increasingly strong business foundation. “Phapros’s financial performance trend shows the company has strong business fundamentals. Net profit for 2025 grew by 109 per cent. For that reason, we are optimistic that this trend will continue until the end of this year,” she said. To maintain growth momentum, Phapros has prepared a number of key strategies for 2026. These steps include strengthening the company’s financial condition, increasing customer satisfaction, developing the product portfolio, transforming business systems and processes, and optimising human resources. In the product area, the company plans to launch four new products this year. One of them is an anti-pain product for dental needs in powder form, designed to be absorbed more quickly by the body. In addition, Phapros is also preparing a children’s multivitamin product that supports the government’s programme to reduce stunting rates. The product is focused on helping to meet children’s daily nutritional needs while supporting bone growth, brain development, dental health, and immune system strength. The business transformation is also directed at strengthening market share across all of the company’s main segments, from over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and branded generic drugs (OGB) to ethical products. The company also plans to expand its export market reach as part of its strategy to strengthen its business portfolio. Intan emphasised that innovation and research will be important factors in maintaining the company’s competitiveness in the increasingly competitive pharmaceutical industry. According to her, the ability to deliver new products that meet the needs of the public will be one of the keys for Phapros to sustain growth while strengthening its position in both the national and international pharmaceutical markets.
