Phapros Marks 72nd Anniversary with Social and Environmental Action
PT Phapros Tbk commemorated its 72nd anniversary by holding a series of social and environmental activities in Semarang. The events took place throughout June 2026, culminating in the Phapros Day celebration at the Simongan Factory on Sunday (21/6).
The celebration, themed ‘Phapros Itu Sehat, Sehat Itu Phapros’ (Phapros is Health, Health is Phapros), featured a healthy walk, tree planting, and the dispersal of eco enzyme into waterways. The event was attended by the company’s board of directors and commissioners, several local government officials, former directors, and employees.
President Director of PT Phapros Tbk, Intan Abdams Katoppo, said the 72nd anniversary was a moment of reflection on the company’s journey since its founding in 1954. ‘As an expression of gratitude and care for Phapros’ 72-year journey, we carried out a series of positive activities beneficial to the community and the environment. Starting from the Idul Adha celebration through the distribution of sacrificial meat, blood donation drives, mass circumcision, to communal prayers, these became moments to share, give thanks, and strengthen the togetherness of the entire Phapros family,’ Intan stated on Tuesday (23/6).
In addition to internal celebrations, the company also organised several social activities. During Idul Adha 1447 Hijriah, Phapros collaborated with the Al Ikhlas Simongan Mosque to distribute 700 packages of sacrificial meat to local residents. Blood donation drives were also held on 9 and 10 June 2026 at two different locations in Semarang. The programme, in cooperation with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), was attended by 115 employees.
Meanwhile, on 18 June 2026, the company, together with RS Roemani Muhammadiyah Semarang, conducted a mass circumcision event for 20 children from underprivileged families living near the company and hospital premises. A day later, Phapros held a communal prayer attended by the board of directors, management, and employees.
President Commissioner of PT Phapros Tbk, Alfi N. Rustam, said this year’s anniversary also included activities related to environmental management, one of which was the utilisation of eco enzyme derived from organic waste. ‘Today’s release of eco enzyme is a symbol of our concern for the environment, as well as an effort to encourage the utilisation of organic waste into something of value. Besides helping to reduce the amount of organic waste ending up in landfills, eco enzyme also has benefits in supporting the cleanliness and quality of the aquatic environment,’ said Alfi.
The eco enzyme dispersal was carried out in the Sam Poo Kong area of Semarang. According to the company, the activity aimed to support organic waste management while raising awareness about the importance of environmental preservation. Alfi added that the company hopes the various activities held during the 72nd anniversary celebration will foster greater concern for health and environmental issues. ‘In line with the spirit of the 72nd anniversary, we hope that Phapros can continue to grow and provide benefits not only for public health, but also for environmental sustainability and future generations towards a green industry transformation,’ he concluded.
