PGTC 2026: Students Introduced to Downstream Energy Business
Bandung, VIVA – Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to foster collaboration with the academic sector by supporting the Pertamina Goes to Campus (PGTC) 2026 and officially kicking off at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) on Thursday (21 May). The programme serves as a space to develop the potential of young talents, to spur ideas and innovations, and to build sustainable impact for Indonesia’s energy future.
Pertamina Patra Niaga, as the Downstream Subholding of PT Pertamina (Persero), also participated in PGTC 2026 through an interactive booth area that introduces the downstream energy business and efforts to maintain national energy resilience. It also introduces the MyPertamina application for consumer services, as well as various information related to career development, internships, and recruitment opportunities.
Dewi Kurnia Salwa, the Director of Human Resources (HR) at Pertamina Patra Niaga, explained during the event that the participation is an effort by the company to provide industry insights while building the readiness of the younger generation to face the workforce and challenges of the energy sector.
“Pertamina Goes to Campus 2026 is a manifestation of our commitment to nurture the nation’s youth so that they have readiness, competence, and a spirit to help safeguard national energy sovereignty. We hope the younger generation can become individuals who are adaptable, competitive, and ready to face various challenges of the industry in the future,” Dewi said.
Dewi added that Pertamina Patra Niaga also encourages the younger generation to have strong competencies and a strong sense of purpose to meet the evolving needs of the energy industry. According to her, students need to have the courage to continue competing and adapting to increasingly dynamic changes.
In 2026, PGTC carries the theme “Energizing Acceleration for Future Impact” with a roadshow concept to several campuses across Indonesia. The programme features a variety of educational, competitive, and collaborative activities, ranging from Energizing Talks, energy innovation competitions, energy debates, to exhibition booths that showcase various businesses and career development opportunities within the Pertamina Group.
The PGTC 2026 kick-off at ITB was opened with a ceremony that brought together Pertamina management, ITB’s Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Irwan Meilano, S.T., M.Sc., and the Secretary of the Directorate General of Research and Development of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Prof. apt. Junaidi Khotib, S.Si., M.Kes., Ph.D.
