PGN Successfully Holds CNG Standby Workshop on Eid Exodus Route for 2026
Subholding Gas Pertamina, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk alias PGN, together with PT Gagas Energi Indonesia (PGN Gagas) and the Komogas community, successfully carried out the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Mobile Workshop programme titled Bengkel Standby Idul Fitri 1447 H. The event took place at the Cirebon Gas Fuel Filling Station (SPBG) in West Java during the 2026 Lebaran exodus period. The programme, which featured a 24-hour standby team, recorded that 55 vehicles were serviced, comprising 40 bajaj units and 15 gas-fuelled (BBG) car units. PGN Corporate Secretary Fajriyah Usman stated that this initiative serves as a strategic step in strengthening the reliability of alternative energy infrastructure on exodus routes, while providing a sense of safety and comfort for BBG vehicle users. “This programme also demonstrates that CNG-based vehicles can be a cleaner, more efficient, and environmentally friendly energy solution, especially amid the high mobility of the public during the exodus flow,” Fajriyah said in her statement on Wednesday, 1 April 2026. She added that strengthening CNG utilisation on exodus routes aligns with the growing need for cleaner and more efficient energy solutions. In the current global situation full of uncertainties, clean energy is no longer just an option but a necessity. “Therefore, the optimisation of natural gas, including CNG, is a strategic step to strengthen national energy resilience while reducing costs for the public,” she remarked. Fajriyah assured that PGN continues to introduce various initiatives that not only focus on business aspects but also provide direct benefits to the community. “With increasingly reliable infrastructure and services, we hope that CNG adoption can continue to increase, especially during high-mobility moments like the Lebaran period,” Fajriyah stated. In line with efforts to promote energy efficiency and improve services for BBG users, PGN Gagas President Director Santiaji Gunawan emphasised that this programme is a concrete step to ensure the safety and comfort of the public during the exodus flow. He said the activity focuses on enhancing the reliability of BBG vehicles through direct technical services at the SPBG, allowing users to perform checks or maintenance quickly and easily.
