PGN pays Rp3 trillion in dividends, maintains 80% payout ratio
PGN has distributed a cash dividend of $172.29 million (approximately Rp3.04 trillion) to shareholders. The amount represents 80% of the parent company’s attributable net profit of $215.36 million for the 2025 fiscal year. The decision was approved at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) for the 2025 fiscal year held on Tuesday, 26 May 2026. Corporate Secretary Fajriyah Usman said the company maintains an 80% dividend payout ratio (DPR) as a commitment to delivering returns to shareholders without compromising long-term business sustainability. “The 80% payout ratio also reflects the company’s confidence in cash flow quality, financial discipline, and business fundamentals amid global energy sector dynamics,” Usman said in a written statement received by Kompas.com on Tuesday. The move aligns with the company’s confidence in the long-term growth prospects of Indonesia’s natural gas sector. PGN views domestic natural gas business prospects as promising, driven by rising national energy demand and gas’s increasing role as a transition fuel towards a lower-emission energy system. To support this growth, the company continues to ensure reliable supply and operations through adaptive management of its pipeline-based gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) portfolio. Additionally, it is optimising infrastructure and improving operational and financial efficiency. Besides approving the dividend, the RUPST also endorsed other agenda items, including net profit allocation, articles of association amendments, auditor appointment, and discussions on business development and corporate governance strengthening.
