PGN Holds Mass Wedding, Helps Couples Obtain Marriage Legality

PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk (PGN), a gas subholding of Pertamina, has once again introduced a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme that provides tangible benefits to the community through a mass wedding programme titled ‘Awal Baru, Penuh #EnergiBaik’. This programme serves as a manifestation of PGN’s care in helping the community meet one of their basic needs: obtaining legal certainty for marriages that are valid both under the law and religion.

The programme took place at the PGN Auditorium on Friday (26/6), attended by nine couples from the Central Jakarta area, most of whom work as private employees and traders. Five couples performed their marriage ceremonies directly, while four couples participated in a symbolic procession and proceeded with the ‘isbat nikah’ (legalisation of marriage) process. Each couple was accompanied by their families as a form of support during this important moment.

PGN Corporate Secretary Fajriyah Usman stated that marriage is a crucial phase in building a family. Therefore, marriage legality not only provides legal certainty but also serves as a foundation for fulfilling various family rights in the future.

“Through this Mass Wedding Programme, we want to help couples begin a new chapter of life filled with hope, legal certainty, and blessings. This is a concrete manifestation of PGN’s commitment to delivering #EnergiBaik (Good Energy) that creates a positive impact on people’s lives,” said Fajriyah in a statement on Saturday (27/6/2026).

Fajriyah added that the family is an important foundation in building a strong and prosperous society. Therefore, PGN strives to present programmes that are not merely ceremonial but also provide sustainable benefits to the beneficiaries.

As part of this support, PGN facilitated the entire sequence of the marriage ceremony until the couples received their official Marriage Books from the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA). Additionally, each couple received household equipment and initial family necessity packages to assist them in starting their married life.

Through this programme, PGN also supports the strengthening of the family institution as one of the foundations of social welfare. The company’s presence within the community is expected to create shared value, where business growth proceeds in tandem with the improvement of the community’s quality of life.
