PGK Anniversary tournament

JAKARTA: Some 120 amateur golfers are expected to take part in the one-day, 72-hole stroke of play tournament at the Padang Golf Kemayoran (PGK) on Sunday.

The 18-hole layout, designed by Peter Dalkeith Scott, will host the sixth anniversary of the links, completed on April 25, 1998. The field that will be vying for prestigious prizes includes local dignitaries and businessmen, who have been invited, and members of the 6,024-yard golf links.

In all four 3-par holes a hole-in-one prize could be won -- a brand-new Toyota Avanza car. However, the organizers have not stated on which hole the car will be offered to the winner. --JP
