PEVS Provides Consumer Education on Electric Vehicles

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) is not only showcasing a range of electric vehicles, but also providing a space to educate consumers about them.

Periklindo chairman Moeldoko highlighted the importance of consumer education in efforts to increase the use of electric vehicles in Indonesia.

“Switching from conventional cars to electric cars is not easy, because it starts with an idea. If people have not yet grasped the idea, they will find it difficult to make the switch,” he said in Jakarta on Thursday.

He said that greater understanding of electric vehicles could encourage people to change their transport habits.

He added that PEVS was expected to help improve public understanding of electric vehicles and the impact of using them.

PEVS could provide an opportunity for consumers to learn more about mobility trends, the range of electric vehicles available and advances in more environmentally friendly vehicle technology.

Consumers could then use that knowledge when considering whether to use or acquire transport for their daily needs.
