Petrowidada gets ISO-9002

JAKARTA (JP): Petrochemical manufacturer PT Petrowidada has been accredited with an ISO-9002 certificate for the management of its phthalic anhydride and maleic anhydride production lines.

Petrowidada said in a statement here on Tuesday that the certificate was awarded by SAQAS, an Australian standardization agency.

The statement said that Petrowidada, an affiliate of state- owned fertilizer producer PT Petrokimia Gresik, has expanded its facilities to increase the production capacity of its main product, phthalic anhydride, from 30,000 metric tons to 70,000 metric tons per annum.

The product is exported to Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China and Australia, as well as to countries in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. (pwn)
