Bekasi — A public petrol station (SPBU) 34.17604 in the RT 001/002 area, Kebalen, Babelan, Bekasi regency fell victim to a robbery on Tuesday, 10 March 2026 at approximately 3:00 AM.

Metro Bekasi Police Chief Senior Commissioner Sumarni said the incident came to light following a public report through the National Police Call Centre 110 at 3:20 AM.

“The perpetrators entered the SPBU’s staff quarters by breaking down the door and threatened the victims using sharp weapons and long metal bars,” Sumarni said when confirmed on Tuesday.

One victim, identified as M (62), attempted to resist. However, the victim sustained injuries to the left hand before being immobilised and bound with tape.

Meanwhile, another victim, identified as B (49), suffered violence in the form of kicks and blows.

“Other victims, namely A (24), M (44), and H (53), had their heads covered with blankets and were bound using cable, tape, and raffia string,” Sumarni said.

Once the victims were incapacitated, the perpetrators then proceeded to the money storage safe in the SPBU area and damaged it. Approximately 30 minutes later, the perpetrators fled the scene.

Sumarni said police officers who arrived at the location immediately conducted a crime scene investigation and recovered several pieces of evidence.

Meanwhile, Babelan Police Chief Wito said his team was still conducting an investigation to identify the perpetrators.

“We have received the report and checked the crime scene. We are continuing to investigate to solve this case,” Wito said.

He added that police are currently interviewing several witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage in the surrounding area to identify the perpetrators.
