Petrokimia Gresik Strengthens National Fertiliser Industry Through Growth Strategy

PT Petrokimia Gresik, an agroindustry solutions company and member of the Pupuk Indonesia holding company, has won two awards at the 15th National State-Owned Enterprise Awards 2026. The awards were presented in the categories of Best CEO Visionary Leadership and Best Company Growth Strategy.

The Best CEO Visionary Leadership award was presented to Petrokimia Gresik’s Chief Executive Officer, Daconi Khotob, who was recognised for his ability to introduce innovation and long-term strategy to drive company growth whilst strengthening the fertiliser industry’s contribution to the national economy.

“This award is an appreciation of the hard work of all Petrokimia Gresik employees in executing sustainable business strategy and strengthening the company’s competitiveness in the future,” said Daconi in a statement recently issued in Jakarta.

According to him, the business strategy executed by the company focuses not only on corporate growth but also on contributing to strategically important national sectors, particularly agriculture and domestic chemical industry.

Petrokimia Gresik, which is part of the state-owned Pupuk Indonesia holding, is implementing several business development initiatives to strengthen production capacity and increase the economic value of the national fertiliser industry.

These strategies include developing fertiliser product lines to support the national food security programme, developing related chemical products aligned with the government’s downstream industrialisation agenda, and constructing new factories and expanding the capacity of existing production facilities.
