JAKARTA — Perum Percetakan Uang Republik Indonesia (Peruri) is accelerating its business transformation from a company known for printing money and security documents into a technology company focused on security, authenticity and digital trust. Peruri President Director Teguh Arief Indratmoko said the transformation was important as transactions and identities move from physical media into the digital ecosystem.

“Peruri has transformed. We are no longer only a company that prints money and physical security documents; we are also a technology company that ensures the authenticity of electronic documents, systems and digital identities,” Teguh said at the Peruri Digital Summit 2026, titled “Building Technology of the Future”, at Taman Kota Peruri in Jakarta on Wednesday (21 October 2026).

Teguh said the transformation would not change the company’s core mandate to safeguard the trust of the state and the public. Peruri is extending this capability into the digital sphere, ensuring that electronic documents, systems and digital identities remain authentic and secure.

He said the transformation was set out in Presidential Regulation No. 82 of 2023, which appointed Peruri as GovTech. In that role, Peruri acts as a national digital accelerator supporting the development of integrated, reliable and highly secure electronic government systems.

Teguh stressed that Peruri would not replace digitalisation programmes already developed by ministries and agencies. Instead, the company would integrate those programmes to create a more joined-up government digital ecosystem.

“As GovTech, Peruri is a national digital accelerator supporting the transformation of integrated, reliable and highly secure electronic-based government systems, without changing the digitalisation programmes already in place at each ministry,” Teguh said.

According to Teguh, changes in the technology landscape have also made digital infrastructure increasingly strategic. It is no longer merely a support facility, he said, but has become an important part of business operations and public services.

Teguh said Peruri was developing five strategic dimensions to drive the transformation: security, technological excellence, governance, service reliability and strategic collaboration. These areas are intended to build a technology company that can provide layered protection, adopt the latest innovations, maintain transparency and accountability, and consistently deliver high-quality services.

“Ultimately, Peruri’s transformation is intended not only to develop the company’s business, but also to strengthen Indonesia’s digital trust and sovereignty,” Teguh said.
