Peruri, the state-owned printing company, has stressed the importance of using electronic stamps (e-Meterai) through official distributors to guarantee the security and validity of digital documents amid the rapid digital transformation. As the need for legally valid electronic documents increases, the government has introduced e-Meterai as a solution for tax payments on digital documents. The presence of e-Meterai is regulated under Government Regulation No. 86 of 2021 and has been widely used in various digital transactions for more than the past four years. e-Meterai functions the same as physical stamps but is more practical as it can be accessed and used digitally anytime and anywhere. This system is considered capable of enhancing administrative process efficiency and supporting the increasingly developing online-based services in Indonesia. As the institution designated by the government to produce e-Meterai, Peruri ensures distribution is carried out through secure and integrated official channels. The public is urged not to purchase e-Meterai from unofficial parties to avoid potential misuse and security risks. “It should be remembered that all official distributors provide secure and reliable systems. The presence of these various channels is expected to provide convenience for the public in obtaining and using electronic stamps,” said Head of Corporate Secretary of Peruri, Adi Sunardi. Currently, there are several official e-Meterai distributors collaborating with Peruri, including PT Peruri Digital Security, PT Mitra Pajakku, PT Mitracomm Ekasarana, Digital Logistik Internasional (DLI), and PT Pos Indonesia (Persero). Peruri states it will continue to strengthen the e-Meterai distribution ecosystem to support the national digital transformation. This step also aims to ensure that every electronic transaction of the public remains protected, has legal force, and is easily accessible.
