Peruri Strengthens SOE Synergy through Blue Impact Programme in South Lampung
The effort to maintain the sustainability of coastal areas requires collaboration from many parties. Driven by this spirit, the Public Company for Money Printing of the Republic of Indonesia (Peruri), together with six other state-owned enterprises (SOEs), participated in the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programme titled Blue Impact, held at Minang Rua Beach, Kelawi Village, South Lampung Regency, on Friday (12/6). The Blue Impact programme is a collaboration between seven SOEs: Peruri, PNM, Adhi Karya, Brantas Abipraya, Nindya Karya, Waskita, and WIKA. This collaboration represents a concrete step by SOEs to deliver contributions that not only focus on environmental preservation but also touch on aspects of community empowerment and improving the quality of life for coastal residents. Through this programme, Peruri is helping to strengthen the role of SOEs in supporting the sustainability agenda, particularly in coastal areas that hold ecological and economic value for the community. Blue Impact carries three main agendas: coral reef conservation, financial literacy, and free health checks for the local community. These three agendas are designed as a unified programme representing care for the environment, strengthening the community’s economic capacity, and supporting residents’ health. With this approach, Blue Impact is expected to provide broader and more sustainable benefits for the community around Minang Rua Beach. Head of Corporate Secretary Peruri, Adi Sunardi, stated that collaboration between SOEs is key to delivering TJSL programmes that are relevant to community needs and have a direct impact on the environment. “Through the Blue Impact programme, Peruri is present in the joint effort to preserve the coastal ecosystem while supporting the improvement of community welfare. For us, synergy between SOEs like this is a tangible form that social and environmental responsibility must be carried out collaboratively, in a targeted manner, and provide direct benefits to the community,” said Adi. Minang Rua Beach was chosen as the programme location because it has great potential as a coastal tourism area and is one of the leading destinations in South Lampung. The existence of a healthy marine ecosystem is an important factor in maintaining tourism appeal, supporting environmental balance, and sustaining the economic activities of the local community. As part of the environmental agenda, coral reef conservation activities were carried out to support the recovery and protection of the marine ecosystem. This effort is important considering that coral reefs play a strategic role in maintaining the balance of the marine ecosystem, protecting biodiversity, and supporting the sustainability of marine tourism potential. In addition to conservation activities, Blue Impact also provided financial literacy education for the community. Through this activity, coastal communities are expected to gain a better understanding of financial and business management, especially in supporting local economic potential based on tourism, fisheries, and community enterprises. The programme was also complemented by free health check services as a form of care for the community’s quality of life. Through these services, residents had the opportunity to check their health conditions directly while increasing awareness of the importance of maintaining health from an early age. The collaboration between Peruri and six other SOEs also received support from the South Lampung Regency Government. This synergy aligns with the spirit of developing coastal areas that are green, sustainable, and competitive, while supporting the strengthening of tourism village potential in the region.
