PERURI provides educational aid to foundation in Karawang

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Perusahaan Umum Percetakan Uang Republik Indonesia (PERURI) has distributed educational facilities and infrastructure aid to the Puri Artha Foundation in Karawang, West Java.

“As a company with its operational centre in Karawang, we feel a moral responsibility to grow and develop alongside the surrounding community,” said PERURI’s Coordinator for Corporate Communication & TJSL, Yahdi Lil Ihsan, in a written statement received in Jakarta on Thursday.

The aid provided covers various educational levels, from Early Childhood Education (PAUD) to Junior High School (SMP) and Religious Education.

Details include, for PAUD level, learning facilities and infrastructure improvements for KB Mawar VII, library room and toilet repairs at TK Teruna Ria, and classroom ceiling repairs at TK Teruna Ria II.

For primary school (SD) and SMP education, sanitation aid through well drilling at SD Puri Artha, as well as learning facilities and infrastructure improvements for SMP Puri Artha.

Meanwhile, for Religious Education and public facilities, learning facilities for DTA Al-Mubtadi’in and enhancements to sports facilities in the Puri Telukjambe area (Block B).

According to Yahdi, the aid is packaged comprehensively to address both physical aspects and those supporting creativity.

“We believe learning is not just about books, but about the atmosphere. With a safe and comfortable environment, the knowledge transfer from teachers to students will be more optimal. This is our real investment in a better future for Indonesia,” he said.

The programme is part of PERURI’s social pillar under Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL), focusing on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly quality education.

“PERURI’s progress will not be complete without accompanying progress in the environment where we stand, especially in education as the foundation for forming superior human resources,” he added.
