PERURI builds social strategy through internal POV community
Jakarta — State-owned Perusahaan Umum Percetakan Uang Republik Indonesia (PERURI), the currency printing company, is developing a social strategy to strengthen relations with communities in its operational areas through an internal employee community called PERURI Own Voice (POV).
The community forms part of the company’s strategy to enable direct employee involvement as a representation of the company’s values and culture to the public.
According to Yahdi Lil Ihsan, Head of the Strategic Corporate Branding and TJSL Bureau at PERURI, the activities carried out by POV reflect the company’s commitment to continuously providing benefits to society whilst fostering a culture of social care within the organisation.
During Ramadan, one of POV’s activities is distributing evening meal packages (takjil) around operational areas. The involvement of employees, referred to as POV Champs, in these activities reflects the spirit of PERURI staff to contribute not only through company work and positive narratives, but also through concrete actions that directly benefit the community.
“Ramadan is a moment to strengthen values of care and togetherness. Through this takjil sharing activity, PERURI wishes to bring simple joy to society, particularly those still travelling towards the time of breaking fast,” said Yahdi.
Previously, PERURI distributed 400 food packages and assistance to foster children supported by PERURI’s Bazis charity as part of its 2026 Ramadan social programme.
The social activity was carried out through the Ramadan Berseri programme (Ramadan Sharing Together with PERURI). The 400 food packages were distributed to communities in Karawang, West Java, as a demonstration of the company’s care in helping meet basic needs during Ramadan in operational areas.
The company also provided assistance to foster children supported by PERURI’s Bazis charity in Karawang. Additionally, PERURI distributed Eid clothing to foster children supported by PERURI’s Bazis charity in Jakarta.
