Perumda Tirta Taka Nunukan Sets Record Dividend of Rp 2.6 Billion

NUNUKAN, KOMPAS.com – Perumda Tirta Taka, a regional public company in Nunukan, North Kalimantan, handed over a 2025 dividend of Rp 2,641,215,962 to Regent Irwan Sabri on Friday (27/3/2026). This amount represents the largest dividend submitted by Perumda Tirta Taka in the past five years. Director of Perumda Tirta Taka Nunukan, Arpiansyah, stated that the dividend increase was influenced by several factors. “The increase is indeed over 200 percent. The main factor is that 2025 did not experience drought like previous years,” he said. According to data from PDAM Nunukan, the dividends from PDAM Nunukan Perumda Tirta Taka have fluctuated with increases and decreases. In 2021, the dividend handed over to the Nunukan Regional Government was Rp 562 million. Arpiansyah did not detail the various factors contributing to the dividend increase of around 280 percent. As the newly appointed Director of Perumda Tirta Taka Nunukan, he committed to continuously improving clean water services for the community by maintaining intensive communication with the Water Resources Basin Agency and ministries to find solutions to the lack of raw water sources in this Indonesia-Malaysia border area. “We are adding clean water networks to customers, and that also contributes to the dividend increase,” Arpiansyah replied. Such conditions have forced PDAM to build more reservoirs as storage for raw water, as one anticipation for the dry season. Meanwhile, Regent Irwan Sabri urged PDAM Nunukan to continue improving and expanding its network to meet the clean water needs of residents, especially in areas not yet served by clean water. “Amid efforts to save and efficiency budgets across all regional governments in Indonesia, the increasing PDAM dividend is heartening news. Hopefully, it will be even better and greater in the future,” he said.
