Perumda Pasar Jaya Holds UMKM & Culinary Bazaar to Boost Economic Growth
Perumda Pasar Jaya held a UMKM and Culinary Bazaar at its headquarters on Jalan Cikini Raya No. 90, Central Jakarta, today. The event is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to support the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) while strengthening the grassroots economic ecosystem in Jakarta.
The bazaar, which ran from morning until late afternoon, featured dozens of fostered UMKM actors and partners of Perumda Pasar Jaya offering a variety of superior products, ranging from kerak telor, nasi uduk, sate Padang, siomay, and kebab to various traditional snacks, fresh beverages, and local coffee, which became a special attraction for visitors.
"Not only that, visitors can also find various handicraft products, accessories, and typical Betawi souvenirs that reflect the cultural richness of Jakarta," said Perumda Pasar Jaya President Director Agus Himawan in a written statement on Thursday (18/6/2026).
He stated that organising this bazaar is the company’s effort to provide a wider promotional and marketing space for local business actors.
"UMKM are one of the important pillars of Jakarta’s economy. Through this bazaar activity, Perumda Pasar Jaya seeks to present a platform that can bring business actors together with the community directly, thereby increasing transactions, expanding business networks, and introducing superior products to a wider market," he said.
In addition to being a means of product promotion, this activity is also expected to enhance the entrepreneurial spirit, encourage local product innovation, and strengthen collaboration between business actors, the community, and various stakeholders in supporting regional economic growth.
"Through the organisation of this UMKM and Culinary Bazaar, Perumda Pasar Jaya hopes to continue contributing to creating business opportunities, improving the welfare of UMKM actors, and strengthening the role of markets as centres of economic activity and community empowerment," he explained.
He said this activity is also in line with the spirit of market transformation that Perumda Pasar Jaya continues to carry out to present modern, comfortable markets that can become inclusive economic growth centres for all levels of society.
"In addition, this activity is one of Perumda Pasar Jaya’s strategic steps in realising The Culinary HUB concept, namely making the market not only a centre for trade transactions but also an attractive and innovative culinary destination capable of supporting the development of UMKM and strengthening the local economic ecosystem," he concluded.
