Perumda Pasar Jaya Deploys 212 Tipper Trucks to Transport Waste at Kramat Jati Market
Perumda Pasar Jaya is optimising waste handling at Pasar Induk Kramat Jati to maintain cleanliness and environmental comfort in the market. This effort is being carried out intensively and sustainably as part of services for traders and visitors.
From 2 to 10 April 2026, Perumda Pasar Jaya has conducted waste transport activities with significant daily intensity. In total, the fleet deployed consists of 212 tipper truck units and 16 typar units, resulting in 228 transport trips overall.
Furthermore, these transport activities continue as an effort to optimise waste management, aimed at preserving the cleanliness and comfort of the Pasar Induk Kramat Jati environment.
This intensive step is also carried out through collaboration between Perumda Pasar Jaya and the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency to ensure that the waste transport and management processes run effectively and on time.
The increase in the number of transport trips demonstrates a quick response to the rising waste volume, particularly during periods of high market activity.
“This effort is part of the company’s commitment to creating clean, healthy, and comfortable markets. In addition to routine transport, Perumda Pasar Jaya continues to educate traders and visitors on maintaining cleanliness and managing waste more wisely,” stated Agus Himawan, Director General of Perumda Pasar Jaya, in his remarks on Saturday (11/4/2026).
As a long-term measure, Perumda Pasar Jaya is also trialling the implementation of thermal hydrolysis technology and developing the MASARO (Zero Waste Management) system as innovative solutions for processing waste directly at the source.
Subsequently, this initiative is expected to reduce the volume of waste that must be transported to final disposal sites while creating a more sustainable waste management system.
“With these steps, it is hoped that Pasar Induk Kramat Jati can become an example of a market that is not only economically productive but also upholds good cleanliness standards, thereby providing comfort for the entire community,” added Agus.
