JAKARTA: Peruvian Minister for Foreign Affairs Allan Wagner Tizon made a brief visit to Indonesia on Friday to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.
Tizon arrived Friday morning from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and held a meeting with his Indonesian counterpart Hassan Wirayuda immediately.
During the meeting, the two signed three agreements on the establishment of regular consultation forum, visa-free policy for diplomats and state officials, and exchange program for diplomats.
"We also discuss trade and investment issues, because we believe we could increase our economic ties," Hassan said after the meeting.
The value of trade relations between two countries stands at around US$62 million per year.
Tizon also paid a courtesy call to President Megawati Soekarnoputri before flying back to Peru later Friday. --JP
