PT Pertamina (Persero) has relaunched its Mudik Bersama (Joint Homecoming) programme in 2026 with the theme “Safe Journey, Shared Hope”. The programme transports over 5,000 travellers to 23 destinations across Java Island, deploying a fleet of 153 buses. The departure of participants took place at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah Gate 3 in Jakarta on Sunday, 15 March 2026.

The Mudik Bersama programme represents Pertamina’s commitment to supporting smooth public mobility ahead of Eid al-Fitr, whilst providing safe, comfortable, and joyful homecoming journeys for all participants.

Pertamina’s Chief Commissioner Mochamad Iriawan expressed the programme as a demonstration of the company’s care for the public who wish to celebrate Eid with their families in their hometowns. “I appreciate all Pertamina officers who have worked hard to organise this programme, which is highly beneficial to our society. Mudik is not merely a journey home, but a journey that carries the heart to reunite with family in their respective hometowns,” Iriawan stated.

He added that the Mudik Bersama activity also reflects the spirit of togetherness and mutual cooperation that form important values in Indonesian culture, particularly during the Eid season.

Deputy Director Oki Muraza noted that the homecoming tradition holds deep meaning for Indonesian society. Pertamina wishes to support the journey home by ensuring it occurs safely and comfortably. “Mudik is not merely a journey home. Mudik is longing in motion, joy we celebrate together, and kinship ties that must always be strengthened,” said Oki.

According to him, for Pertamina, the Mudik Bersama programme represents the company’s commitment to be present during special moments for Indonesian society.

In alignment with the theme “Safe Journey, Shared Hope”, Pertamina has collaborated with various partners to realise a safe, comfortable, and blessed journey for all participants. This collaboration includes support for the transport fleet and provision of various supporting facilities throughout the activity.

“We provide 153 buses to serve 23 destinations across Java Island with a total of over 5,000 participants, including the general public and Pertamina employees,” said Oki.

Beyond the transport fleet, Pertamina has also prepared various facilities to enhance participant comfort during the departure process. These facilities include rest areas for travellers, children’s play areas, and refreshments for participants. All these facilities are provided so that each participant can begin their homecoming journey with peace of mind and happiness before travelling to their respective hometowns.

Oki further stated that this activity is not merely a ceremonial departure event, but also a symbol of hope for thousands of people who wish to reunite with their loved ones. “Through this event, we do not only bid farewell to the departure, but also release thousands of hopes to return to their hometowns. The hope to reunite with loved ones, the hope to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with full joy, and the hope to revisit cherished moments in their hometowns,” said Oki.

He also expressed appreciation to all partners who have contributed to the success of this year’s Pertamina Mudik Bersama programme. “We extend our gratitude and highest appreciation to all partners who have worked hard. This dedication proves that Pertamina not only supplies energy to the nation, but also brings energy of happiness to society,” said Oki.

Through the 2026 Mudik Bersama programme, Pertamina hopes to provide tangible benefits to the public whilst strengthening the spirit of togetherness in welcoming Eid al-Fitr. This programme also forms part of Pertamina’s commitment to continue supporting various public needs, including during important moments such as the Eid homecoming tradition.
