Pertamina urges consumers to use fuel wisely amid price hikes
Badung, Bali (ANTARA) - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has urged the public to use fuel wisely following the increase in the price of non-subsidised petrol, namely Pertamax and Pertamax Green. “We encourage the public to sort and choose; let us start a smart energy use movement, which can be applied across all levels of society,” said Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth Marcelino Verieza Dumatubun, in Badung, Bali, on Wednesday. Roberth also said that consumers who had previously switched from subsidised fuel such as Pertalite to non-subsidised fuel need not worry about this price adjustment. He assured that the quality of non-subsidised fuel is superior and more environmentally friendly. “This means that for those who can afford it, they are encouraged to use non-subsidised fuel with a higher RON and better quality,” said Roberth. In addition, he stressed that subsidised fuel is intended for public service vehicles, two-wheeled vehicles, and vehicles used by lower-middle income communities. “We are providing an opportunity for those who are more entitled to use subsidised fuel so that their allocation or rights are not diminished,” said Roberth. “So they can continue their activities, continue to work using subsidised fuel, not taken up by people who are actually more affluent, so that those who are more affluent use non-subsidised fuel,” he added. Meanwhile, based on the retail non-subsidised fuel price list at petrol stations as of 10 June 2026, the price of Pertamax (RON 92) rose from Rp12,300 per litre to Rp16,250 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of Pertamax Green 95 (RON 95) rose from Rp12,900 per litre to Rp17,000 per litre. The price of Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) remained at Rp20,750 per litre, Dexlite (CN 51) remained at Rp23,000 per litre, and Pertamina Dex (CN 53) remained at Rp24,800 per litre. Furthermore, the price of subsidised fuel, namely Pertalite, remains at Rp10,000 per litre and Biosolar remains at Rp6,800 per litre.
