Pertamina Urges Automotive Communities to Use Quality Fuel and Lubricants
JAKARTA — Pertamina Patra Niaga has urged automotive communities to use quality fuel and lubricants in line with vehicle specifications to maintain performance while promoting smarter and more efficient energy use.
Corporate Secretary Roberth MV Dumatubun said education on targeted energy use must be continuously strengthened through collaboration with various societal elements, including automotive communities.
“Education on responsible energy use is a shared responsibility. We encourage the public and automotive communities to collaborate in spreading awareness about using fuel according to vehicle specifications, efficient energy utilization, and the importance of maintaining vehicle performance through quality products,” he stated on Sunday, 24 May 2026.
“Through this collaboration, we hope public awareness of more responsible energy use will continue to rise,” he added.
Automotive expert Rifat Sungkar believes automotive communities play a crucial role as agents of change in conveying accurate information to the public regarding fuel, lubricants, and vehicle maintenance.
According to Rifat, using fuel with the correct research octane number (RON) and lubricants that meet specifications are vital for maintaining vehicle performance.
In addition to using fuel that matches vehicle specifications, education on energy efficiency and digital service usage is also considered important to strengthen public understanding of appropriate energy use.
VP of Marketing Heppy Wulansari said automotive communities are among the active consumer groups using Pertamina’s products and services.
Therefore, Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to strengthen its relationship with consumers through various educational forums and dialogues with communities.
VP of Retail Fuel Sales Windrian Kurniawan stated that Pertamina is continuously improving services at public fuel stations (SPBU) to provide a more comfortable experience for consumers.
As a note, Pertamina Patra Niaga held a “Casual Chat with Automotive Communities” event in Jakarta on Friday, 22 May 2026. The event was attended by dozens of members from 10 two- and four-wheeled vehicle communities as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration with automotive communities in promoting smarter and more efficient energy use.
