Pertamina Upstream Subholding Distributes Thousands of Sacrificial Animals for Eid al-Adha
JAKARTA — To mark the 1447 Hijriah Eid al-Adha, workers and management of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), as Pertamina’s Upstream Subholding, have conducted sacrificial animal distribution across all regions and subsidiaries as part of social responsibility and a spirit of sharing with communities near the company’s operational areas.
This year’s Eid al-Adha animal sacrifice initiative within Pertamina’s Upstream Subholding was a collaborative effort between staff and the company, resulting in thousands of sacrificial animals distributed to communities across operational regions.
A total of 592 cattle and 584 goats and sheep were distributed during this year’s Eid al-Adha.
Hermansyah Y Nasroen, Corporate Secretary of Pertamina’s Upstream Subholding, said Eid al-Adha serves as a reminder of the importance of sincerity, compassion, and solidarity, particularly in strengthening relationships between employees, the company, and the community.
“Through this sacrifice initiative, Pertamina’s Upstream Subholding aims to continue delivering tangible benefits to communities around its operational areas. The spirit of sharing and mutual cooperation inherent in Eid al-Adha is hoped to further strengthen harmonious relations between the company and stakeholders,” he stated in a press release on Thursday, 28 May 2026.
He added that the sacrifice activity is not only an act of worship but also part of the company’s ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts, demonstrating Pertamina’s commitment to fostering harmonious community relations.
PHE also upholds a zero-tolerance policy on bribery, ensuring fraud prevention and a corruption-free company. This includes the implementation of an Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) certified to ISO 37001:2016.
