Pertamina Trans Kontinental continues to support national maritime sovereignty
PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK) is committed to continuing its support for national maritime sovereignty amid the momentum of Indonesia’s 2026 Independence Day celebrations.
VP Legal & Relation of PTK, Amran Reza, said in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday that the independence celebration also serves as an important reminder of the company’s strategic role in the archipelagic waters.
According to him, by running operations sustainably, PTK’s contribution to Indonesia’s maritime industry has a positive impact on economic growth and the nation’s sovereignty.
“As an integrated logistics and maritime services player, PTK is determined to continue supporting national maritime sovereignty and to keep improving reliable, safe and high-standard services for all customers,” Amran asserted.
PTK is a subsidiary of the Integrated Marine Logistics Subholding of PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS), with four business lines: support vessel provider, port services, shorebase or coastal logistics bases, and agency services or shipping administration.
As an integrated maritime services provider, PTK currently manages 370 vessels operating throughout Indonesian waters.
Throughout 2025, PTK’s vessels recorded fleet commercial days of 358.52 days.
In line with that, commission days reached 120,118 days and commercial days reached 119,390 days.
“The spirit of Indonesia’s Independence Day also encourages PTK officers to continue improving their maritime services, making them more modern, upholding safety aspects (HSSE) and meeting international standards,” said Amran.
As an integrated maritime services company, he continued, the spirit of independence resonates in every PTK operational area, both in office environments and on PTK vessels at sea in Indonesia.
“PTK interprets independence as more than just a visual celebration. This moment is an effort by PTK officers to strengthen unity and commitment to safeguarding Indonesia’s maritime sovereignty and supporting environmental preservation as a form of sustainability towards a sovereign, just and prosperous Indonesia,” Amran explained.
