Pertamina Supports MSEs, Culinary Traders Receive Bright Gas
Pertamina has distributed 5.5 kilogram Bright Gas assistance to Micro and Small Enterprise (MSE) traders, particularly those in the culinary sector operating within the Jakarta Fair 2026 area, Jakarta, on Saturday (20/6/2026). This assistance represents tangible support for the continuity of micro and small businesses they have been running amidst rising operational needs.
A beaming smile was visible on Rihana’s face as she received the 5.5 kg Bright Gas assistance from Pertamina in the Kampung Betawi culinary area, Gambir Expo, Jakarta Fair. For a culinary trader who has been seeking her fortune at the Jakarta Fair for years, the assistance felt very meaningful. Until now, Rihana had only relied on two gas canisters to cook her various signature menus, ranging from Nasi Goreng, Bakso Malang, to other dishes.
‘I have been selling here for years, and this is the first time I have received assistance with a gas canister and its contents. Alhamdulillah, it really helps with daily sales operations,’ said Rihana on Monday (22/6/2026).
The Bright Gas assistance is part of Pertamina’s programme to support Micro and Small Enterprise (MSE) players, especially the culinary traders who enliven the Jakarta Fair 2026. For small business operators, energy is a primary necessity that determines the smooth running of their business. Therefore, Pertamina is present to provide support so that traders can continue to run their business activities more comfortably and productively.
Although the atmosphere at the Jakarta Fair is still in its early stages and the number of visitors continues to grow, Rihana remains optimistic that her culinary business will become busier in the coming weeks. ‘Right now it is not too crowded yet because it is still early. Hopefully, visitors will increase and sales will also improve compared to last year,’ she hoped.
Similar happiness was felt by Yana, a Soto Betawi and Soto Banjar seller who has been trading at the Jakarta Fair for about a decade. She admitted she did not expect to receive Bright Gas assistance from Pertamina. ‘I am very happy, this is a new experience for me. I was quite surprised earlier because I did not expect to get assistance. Thank you, it is very beneficial for our business,’ said Yana.
On a separate occasion, VP Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero) Muhammad Baron stated that support for micro and small business players is part of Pertamina’s commitment to continuously deliver tangible benefits to the community. According to Baron, MSE players have an important role in driving the wheels of the economy and creating jobs. Therefore, Pertamina wants to be present not only as an energy provider but also as a partner that supports the growth and development of community businesses. ‘Through this Bright Gas assistance, we want to help business players run their activities more smoothly so they can continue to be productive in serving customers and developing their businesses. This support may seem simple, but it can have a real impact on micro and small business players,’ concluded Baron.
