Pertamina strengthens local MSME empowerment through Rumah BUMN
PT Pertamina (Persero) is strengthening the empowerment of local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through Rumah BUMN by providing continuous mentoring and expanding market access for the businesses under its guidance.
Vice President of Corporate Communication at PT Pertamina (Persero), Muhammad Baron, said Rumah BUMN is a manifestation of Pertamina’s commitment to encouraging MSMEs to become more independent, competitive and capable of growing sustainably.
In a statement received in Jakarta on Monday, he explained that the effort was realised through the participation of 13 MSMEs fostered by the Rumah BUMN of Tojo Una-Una Regency, Central Sulawesi, in the Family Planning Counsellor (PKB) and Family Planning Field Officer (PLKB) Jamboree at the provincial level of Central Sulawesi.
The event, held in Labuan Village, Ratolindo Sub-district, Tojo Una-Una Regency, served as a platform for the assisted MSMEs to introduce a range of processed food products and signature culinary items to local residents as well as jamboree participants from 12 regencies across Central Sulawesi.
Beyond opening up market access, Pertamina’s Rumah BUMN is also encouraging MSME players to increase digital transactions through the use of QRIS in order to strengthen business competitiveness amid the development of the digital economy.
“Pertamina does not merely open up promotional space, but also mentors MSMEs so they can improve product quality, expand marketing networks and adapt to developments in digital technology,” said Baron.
According to him, strengthening MSMEs also aligns with the government’s Astacita goals in promoting inclusive economic growth through increased entrepreneurship, the creation of quality jobs and the development of creative industries.
Through this programme, Pertamina continues to encourage assisted MSMEs to improve product quality, broaden market access and make use of digital technology so they become more competitive and able to grow sustainably.
Meanwhile, the owner of Kopi Tanambi, Imran Mulyadi, expressed appreciation for the mentoring provided by Pertamina’s Rumah BUMN, which he said had enhanced his business capacity whilst opening up broader market opportunities.
“Rumah BUMN Tojo Una-Una has provided a great deal of support for MSME players, ranging from promotion and exhibition assistance to opening business opportunities, developing packaging and building capacity. The Rumah BUMN mentors are genuinely serious about guiding us so that our businesses continue to grow,” said Imran.
