Pertamina Strengthens Distribution Network to Ensure Energy Reaches Remote Areas

From major cities to the frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped (3T) regions, the availability of fuel and LPG is a crucial need that drives daily community activities. Supported by an integrated supply chain from production, processing, transportation, to distribution, PT Pertamina (Persero) continues to ensure energy is present in all corners of Indonesia. Throughout the period of January to December 2025, Pertamina, through its Downstream Subholding, distributed various types of subsidised and assigned energy to the public, including 18.23 million kilolitres of subsidised diesel, 28.06 million kilolitres of Pertalite, 507.94 thousand kilolitres of kerosene, and 8.52 million metric tons of 3 kg LPG cylinders. This distribution is part of Pertamina’s efforts to ensure the community’s energy needs are met while supporting economic activities in various regions. The reliability of this energy distribution is supported by an infrastructure network spread across the country. By the end of 2025, Pertamina operated 15,380 fuel distribution points and 273,317 LPG outlets across 38 provinces, forming the backbone of national energy distribution. To expand energy access in frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped (3T) regions, Pertamina also operates 588 One Price Fuel distributors built between 2017 and 2025. This programme ensures that communities in various regions obtain fuel at an equal price, making energy access more equitable throughout Indonesia. In addition, Pertamina operates 6,703 Pertashop outlets to serve communities in areas not yet reached by conventional petrol stations. For subsidised LPG distribution, the company also runs the One Village One Outlet (OVOO) programme, which has reached 70,451 villages and sub-districts, or approximately 96.3 percent of Indonesia’s territory. Through this network, the public can more easily obtain 3 kg LPG cylinders, including in remote areas. The smooth distribution of national energy is also supported by a fleet of 481 vessels operating throughout 2025, consisting of 110 tankers, one Floating Storage Offloading (FSO) unit, and 370 marine support vessels. This fleet serves as a link for inter-island energy distribution, ensuring that supplies of fuel, LPG, and other energy products can be delivered safely and on time to various regions across Indonesia. Muhammad Baron, Vice President of Corporate Communication at PT Pertamina (Persero), stated that energy security is not only determined by supply adequacy but also by the ability to deliver energy to all corners of the country.
