Pertamina SMEXPO Empowers 47 MSMEs to Increase Market Presence
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Pertamina SMEXPO Regional Yogyakarta 2026 has returned to Pasar Ngasem from 2-4 October 2026. Carrying the theme “Lokal Jadi Vokal” (Local Becomes Vocal), this event features 47 MSMEs from Yogyakarta and its surrounding areas, Central Java, East Java, and Aceh, to expand market access and partnership opportunities.
This is the third time the event has been held at Pasar Ngasem, and it serves as part of the celebrations for the 2-70th anniversary of Yogyakarta City. A diverse range of local products is on display, ranging from culinary delights and fashion to crafts and creative products. In addition to the exhibition, SMEXPO also facilitates business meetings with potential buyers from the hotel, tourism, restaurant, catering, and government sectors.
Director of Business Support at PT Pertamina (Persero), M. Erry Sugiharto, stated that SMEXPO is not merely a promotional space, but also a platform to connect MSMEs with markets and business partners. “We present Pertamina SMEXPO not only as a space to introduce products, but also as a meeting point for MSMEs with markets, business partners, and various long-term business development opportunities,” Erry said in a written statement cited on Sunday (4/10/2026).
Erry added that the benefits of the activity are expected to continue after the event concludes through the opening of new markets and partnerships. “The event may end, but its impact must continue and be felt,” he said.
President Director of the Pertamina Foundation, Agus Mashud S. Asngari, stated that Pertamina SMEXPO is an effort to open wider doors for MSMEs to meet buyers, build networks, and expand markets. In 2024 and 2025, SMEXPO Yogyakarta recorded over 3,000 visitors, more than 6,000 products sold, and total transactions exceeding Rp4 billion.
This year, the Pertamina Foundation is also presenting several mentored MSME products from Aceh through a consignment scheme. Products such as coffee, forest honey, chips, embroidery, and pandan weaving are being marketed as a form of support for MSMEs recovering from the impact of disasters.
One participant, Kripik Tempe HG, noted that SMEXPO provides an opportunity for MSMEs to expand their markets and networks. “Pertamina SMEXPO serves as a concrete example of supporting MSMEs to move up the value chain, especially through increased market access, business networking, and publicity,” said the owner of Kripik Tempe HG, Ita Listiana.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Mayor of Yogyakarta, Wawan Harmawan, appreciated Pertamina’s consistency in hosting SMEXPO at Pasar Ngasem. This third instalment is part of the 270th anniversary of Yogyakarta City, themed “Authentic Concrete,” which highlights local potential and the strengthening of the community economy.
The opening of Pertamina SMEXPO Yogyakarta 2026 was attended by the Board of Commissioners and management of the Pertamina Group, local government, business partners, and MSME players. In addition to the exhibition and business meetings, the event also features workshops, talk shows, cooking competitions, interactive MSME activities, and musical entertainment.
