PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has confirmed that all public fuel filling stations (SPBU) on Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara, have resumed operations following the earthquake that struck the region on 15 August 2026.

VP Corporate Communication of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kitty Andhora, said in a statement in Jakarta on Friday that all 56 SPBU units on Flores Island have returned to operation.

Electricity conditions at the stations have also returned to normal, meaning most SPBU no longer rely on generators to support their operations.

“All SPBU on Flores Island are now back in operation. This is the result of fast and collaborative work by the entire team, from restoring facilities and infrastructure, opening distribution access, to implementing a supply diversion scheme to ensure the community’s energy needs continue to be met,” said Kitty.

The 56 operational SPBU are spread across eight regencies: Ngada with 6 units, Manggarai 8 units, East Manggarai 6 units, West Manggarai 8 units, Sikka 12 units, East Flores 7 units, Ende 5 units, and Nagekeo 4 units.

“As such, there are no longer any SPBU with non-operational status,” she stressed.

Kitty further said that the restoration of SPBU operations was carried out alongside the acceleration of fuel distribution route normalisation.

“Pertamina has deployed fleet support to accelerate distribution recovery. A total of 33 tanker trucks have been assigned to various affected locations, while tanker crew support has also been mobilised from various regions to ensure distribution activities can continue,” Kitty explained.

Pertamina also continues to coordinate with various stakeholders, including the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police (Polri), local governments, and industrial consumers, to ensure energy needs for disaster response and community activities are met.

“Restoring energy services is not only about ensuring SPBU reopen, but also ensuring the supply chain behind them keeps moving. Therefore, we will continue to maintain stock availability, strengthen distribution, and adjust supply patterns to field conditions until all energy activities in the affected areas truly return to normal,” said Kitty.
