Pertamina Regional Java Shares the Energy of Goodness from the Thousand Islands to the West Java Coastline
Sharing care becomes a bridge that connects togetherness and hope for fellow citizens. In the month of Ramadan, care finds its path, and togetherness feels even warmer. Through this spirit, Pertamina Subholding Upstream Regional Java has presented a series of Safari Ramadan 1447 Hijriah activities for communities in the surrounding operational areas, from the Thousand Islands, Jakarta, to the West Java coastline, with a total of more than 2,400 beneficiaries. Manager of Communication, Relations & CID at Pertamina EP Regional Java, Pinto Budi Bowo Laksono, stated that Safari Ramadan is part of the company’s commitment to fulfilling its social responsibility while strengthening relations with the community. “Through this Safari Ramadan, we aim to deliver tangible benefits to the community while reinforcing togetherness between the company, government, and society. The collaboration built is expected to support the creation of a conducive and sustainable environment in the operational areas,” he explained, as quoted from an official statement on Wednesday (18/3). Safari Ramadan serves as the company’s annual agenda as a manifestation of its commitment to sharing happiness and strengthening togetherness with communities around the operational areas during the holy month of Ramadan. Overall, the Safari Ramadan activities were carried out by various entities within the Regional Java environment, including PHE OSES reaching 468 beneficiaries, PHE ONWJ with around 1,600 beneficiaries, and Pertamina EP Zone 7 reaching 400 beneficiaries in various work areas. In the Thousand Islands region, PHE OSES conducted Safari Ramadan by visiting several islands, including Pulau Kelapa, Pulau Harapan, and Pulau Sabira. Through the Ramadan Berbagi programme, the company distributed aid to orphans and the underprivileged, while also interacting directly with the local community. In addition, PHE OSES also held Safari Ramadan at Kalijapat Shorebase, Jakarta, attended by management and workers. The event was filled with religious lectures, greetings, and the distribution of assistance to communities around the operational area as part of strengthening the values of togetherness within the company environment. Meanwhile, PHE ONWJ distributed aid to vulnerable communities spread across the North Jakarta coastline, Karawang, Subang, Indramayu, and Cirebon. The distribution was carried out in stages through collaboration with various stakeholders, including village governments, fishing communities, and community organisations. In the scope of Pertamina EP’s western Java area, Safari Ramadan activities were also held in several work areas. In Cirebon, aid was distributed to orphans around the Klayan office. In the Mundu area, aid was given to orphans from Yayasan Darul Hikmah, Yayasan Raudlatul Hidayah, and Yayasan Nurul Ilmi Al Kimas. Furthermore, in Subang, aid reached orphans in Desa Ciranggon, Desa Tegalsawah, Kelurahan Plawat, as well as students at Pondok Pesantren Tegalsawah. Meanwhile, at Pertamina EP Tambun Field, aid in the form of staple food packages was distributed to communities in Jatisampurna Subdistrict through collaboration with the local subdistrict government. Not only in the operational areas, Safari Ramadan activities were also held at the Pertamina EP Jakarta Head Office through the distribution of aid to several foundations, including Yayasan Al-Risalah, Yayasan Al-Mubasysyrin, Yayasan Al-Khairiyah, and Dewan Kemakmuran Masjid (DKM) Masjid Ash-Sholihin, as part of the company’s efforts to reach a wider range of beneficiaries. In addition to aid distribution, the Safari Ramadan series was also filled with various religious and social activities, such as Ramadan lectures, breaking the fast together, and greetings between management, workers, and the community. These activities serve as spaces for interaction that strengthen the values of togetherness, care, and collaboration between the company and stakeholders. Through this series of activities, Pertamina EP Regional Java hopes that the spirit of sharing and togetherness that grows during Ramadan can continue and provide sustainable benefits for communities in various operational areas.
