Pertamina refutes claims of ban on specific vehicles using Pertalite from June 1, 2026
JAKARTA – PT Pertamina Patra Niaga refutes social media claims about a list of vehicle brands allegedly prohibited from using Pertalite starting June 1, 2026.
“Claims that certain vehicle brands are prohibited from using Pertalite from June 1, 2026, are false as there are currently no government or regulator plans or directives,” said Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV Dumatubun, in a statement on Saturday (May 23, 2026).
He stressed there are currently no government plans or directives regarding restrictions on Pertalite based on specific vehicle brands or engine capacities, as cited in social media posts.
“We urge the public not to easily believe or spread unverified information,” Roberth said.
Roberth stated Pertamina Patra Niaga carries out energy distribution mandates and will adhere to official government policies.
“Once again, we emphasise there are currently no regulations or directives from the government regarding restrictions on Pertalite based on specific vehicle brands or engine capacities,” he said.
Currently, Pertalite distribution and supply operations continue normally. The Subsidi Tepat program is part of efforts to improve energy distribution management for better targeting and should not be confused with viral claims about specific vehicle types prohibited from using Pertalite.
Pertamina Patra Niaga urges the public to always verify information through official government, regulator, or Pertamina channels before sharing digital content to avoid being influenced by unconfirmed claims.
