Pertamina Refinery Ready to Process Russian Crude Oil Supply
Pertamina has stated its readiness to process crude oil supplies from Russia. The company’s domestic refineries are capable of refining the crude into processed products. “For crude from Russia, Pertamina’s Refinery Units are able to process it into refined products from that crude,” explained Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV Dumatubun, quoted from Antara on Tuesday, 14 April 2026. Roberth assured that the company fully supports and actively participates in the processing and distribution of oil domestically. “Pertamina will certainly support and participate in providing energy domestically and its distribution, from processing to becoming products,” said Roberth. Bahlil was then tasked with meeting Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev to discuss oil supplies to Indonesia. “President Prabowo has tasked the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, with meeting President Putin’s special envoy and Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev for further detailed discussions today in Moscow,” explained Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, quoted from Kompas.com on Monday (13/4/2026). In addition to oil, liquefied petroleum gas is also obtained from this agreement. “Alhamdulillah, what has become the agreement, we have obtained quite good results where we can get crude reserves to add to ours. In addition, we will also be able to obtain LPG,” explained Bahlil. The procurement scheme is through government-to-government (G2G) and business-to-business (B2B).
